I designed this beautiful frame as a gift, where the contents can be revealed by removing a sliding cover. Inside, there is a recess that perfectly fits a piece of paper or thin cardboard in A5 format, allowing you to display anything from pictures to meaningful text. After assembly, a card can be smoothly inserted and securely held in place by this recess.
The frame cleverly includes a second piece of cardboard, slightly longer than the content card, which acts as a cover. Its small edge remains visible from the frame’s side, making it easy to grab and reveal the surprise inside.
Dimensions
The recess accommodates a card with A5 dimensions (210 × 148 mm). The visible area is a rectangle of 169 × 119 mm centered on the A5 card. To design a slide-cover, use a card with dimensions 230 × 148 mm — essentially, an A5 card extended on the right side. Consider using a 5mm wide area at the very right edge of this card for any arrows or visual instructions that will be exposed upon closing the cover.
