As a dedicated craftsperson, organizing those myriad of tool bits—each crucial for different tasks—can be quite the hassle, especially the ones used so seldomly they seem almost forgettable. To streamline your workspace and ensure every bit has its place, I’ve designed the Tool Bit Holder Insert specifically tailored for the LR2052 Storage Box System. This insert accommodates various tool bits with a specialized design, integrating a spring mechanism to secure each bit firmly in place.
This insert is designed to slot perfectly into any box within the LR2052 Storage System, extending the storage solution for large amounts of tool bits. It features multiple rows of hexagonally shaped holes, precision-engineered to grip securely and store tool bits with the common 6.35mm (¼ inch) shaft. The built-in spring mechanism, printed as part of the insert, applies just enough pressure to keep bits from rattling or falling out, yet allows for easy removal when needed.
Dimensions
The dimensions follow the LR2052 part numbering scheme, and are encoded into the filename of each model file. For example:
LR2052-2823A-H064-26.3mf
The first part LR2052-2823A
follows the part numbering scheme as explained in the documentation. The model variant is encoded as follows:
H
- stands for hexagonal holes.064
- is the width of the hole in 1/10 mm. So, 064 stands for 6.4 mm which is about ¼ inch.26
- is the designed length of the stored bits. When using this insert and stack one unit storage boxes, you can store bits that are up to 26mm in length.
Matching LR2052 Storage Boxes
This insert, while it can be used as a standalone print, is designed to be used in storage boxes of my LR2052 storage box system.
