This filament feeder features a magnetic attached filter, designed to seamlessly feed the filament through your enclosure while filtering out dust and particles. The magnets are strong enough to hold the filter securely but make it easy to change the filament quickly.
The main goals for this design were:
- Easy attachment and removal post spool change.
- Positioning on top of the enclosure.
- To exert minimal additional pressure on the filament.
- Compatibility with the existing 16mm feed-through hole.
I aimed for a design that integrates smoothly into existing setups, providing an efficient solution to ensure your filament remains clean and debris-free as it’s fed into the printer.
