This is my design of a cable organizer or cable routing hook. It provides enough space for many power cords and/or network cables, and you will find object files for a wide range of heights and depths.
Orientation-wise, it is made to be screwed to a wall, ceiling, or under a table or furniture. There is a groove for a ring or rubber band that you can use to close the hook after inserting all cables. This ring holds the hook closed, even under a heavy load.
About the Design
I optimized the design for good stability with minimal material use. The profiles are tailored for either a 0.4mm nozzle with 0.2mm layer height, or a 0.8mm nozzle with 0.4mm layer height.
- There is a flat section with three screw holes to fasten the hook to your furniture or wall, which also reduces filament tension to prevent warping.
- The hook features a groove that makes it more rigid to hold heavy cables efficiently with the least amount of filament.
- At the front, there is a groove for the ring to lock the cables in place. Using flexible materials like PETG, you can easily insert the ring after montage. The printed ring is held firmly in place but allows easily unlocking to insert or remove cables.
Dimensions and Part Numbering
Models cater to various combinations of heights and depths—heights range from 35mm to 100mm and depths from 80mm to 190mm.
Part numbers follow this format:
LR2203-H-<HHH>-<DDD>.3mf
Where <HHH> signifies the height and <DDD> the depth in millimeters.
