Basic Filament Sample System: Simple Yet Effective

Basic Filament Sample System: Simple Yet Effective

If you find other filament sample models too complicated, try mine. It’s straightforward, focusing solely on having small printed bars to compare colors and textures. These bars print easily with default settings for almost every filament.

I’ve included enough space for a label and a small hole if you want to group a few samples. Plus, there’s a small box to store the samples and keep them organized and accessible.

I’ve also provided fully parametric Fusion360 designs for the sample bar and box, so you can adjust the dimensions to suit your needs.

Box Dimensions

The box model file name follows this format:

LR2282-B-C<sample count>.3mf

Sample Count (C)

This indicates the number of samples that fit inside the sample box.

Sample Model Naming

The sample model file name follows this format:

LR2282-S-<text>.3mf

Text

This is the text engraved on the sample. Models labeled with the suffix “no-text” have no text engravings.
