When it comes to larger silicone moulds, especially those designed for cylindrical flower pots, a lack of support can lead to easy deformation. My latest fully parametric Fusion360 design tackles this issue head-on. By simply inputting the dimensions of your mould, you can create a durable hard shell that provides the necessary support.
This design is intended to be as user-friendly and customizable as possible. The default setup features robust 4mm walls and a straightforward locking mechanism to securely fasten the two shell parts around the center. Without any modifications, the design accommodates a 16mm M4 screw with a countersunk head. On the opposite side, I recommend using the matching M4 threaded inserts from CNC Kitchen.
You’ll find the adaptable Fusion 360 design in the file section, compatible with a wide range of dimensions. All adjustable parameters are marked as favourites for your convenience.
This mould shell design ensures deformation-free results for a variety of silicone moulds. I hope you find the design useful!
