Functional and Aesthetic 3D-Printed Hairbrush

Functional and Aesthetic 3D-Printed Hairbrush

I embarked on this project to explore the potential of 3D printing in creating everyday objects. To my delight, I discovered that it’s entirely feasible to 3D print a functional, aesthetically pleasing hairbrush.

This brush is designed to be printed in several small parts, making it suitable for even compact 3D printers. The eight brush segments easily clip into place, forming the final brush.

Another benefit of the individual parts is the endless color combinations you can create. You could print the handle in black and the segments in all colors of the rainbow. If your printer is capable of printing multiple colors, you can even style the bristles uniquely.

The photos of the print don’t do justice to its appearance. In normal light, the brush looks wonderful. For this print, I used Prusament Galaxy Black filament for the handle and body, and Prusament Mango Yellow for the bristles. In hindsight, Prusament Matte Black might have looked better.
